Latest Updates from Our Project:

More stretch goals announced
almost 6 years ago – Wed, Jun 27, 2018 at 08:53:02 AM

Good morning Steepseers,

As you may have noticed, we have further filled out our stretch goal map and added some great project enhancements that are not to miss!  Including better quality cards, dice, and Teapot bags and currently stopping at a mini expansion consisting of 6 more vision cards (added to every copy), we do have more planned beyond that... so lets see if we can reach them!

Vendor and artist spotlight #2, solo play announcement, and new preview!
almost 6 years ago – Wed, Jun 20, 2018 at 11:55:26 AM

Amazing!  We are over 50% funded, and the good news doesn't stop there as we have been working hard to bring exciting updates about the campaign.  First and foremost, we would like to draw attention to a new preview video posted in our "Reviews and Quotes" section by Board Game Brawl.  If you are looking for another opinion on Steepseers, we highly recommend watching the video to check out some new and interesting points of view.

Second, as we continue highlighting the progress of our collaborators, you may have noticed that t-shirts are available as an add on item.  These t-shirts will be made by Rare Bird, a local vendor who is excited to share their work with us:

For $18 + S&H, a custom t-shirt can be handcrafted and will feature your choice of one of our Steam Spirits in 1 of 4 colors (white, heather grey, blue, or green).  Most sizes will be available, including children's sizing, and custom ordering information will be gathered post campaign during checkout using our pledge manager.

Finally, but certainly not least, after some considerations to increase the inclusiveness of Steepseers, we are expanding the game to include solo play!  This mode has currently been seeing testing and was originally planned as a stretch goal, but we are confident that integrating solo play into the game will only enhance the experience further.

This mode will not change any rules or alter any components involved in traditional play, but may feature the addition of new icons to guide players immersing in solo play. Within the next few days, we will begin adding the rules highlighting this mode to our rules link, as well as updating the visual information presented on the campaign page.

As always, thank you, and be sure to stay tuned for our next update where we will check in with our artists and take a look at one of our newest add on items (art prints).

Vendor and artist spotlight #1
almost 6 years ago – Wed, Jun 20, 2018 at 04:03:59 AM

Wow! We are happy to say that Steepseers is almost 50% funded after its first week! A big thank you to all of our backers who are preparing to peer into the steam…

As we continue forwards in the campaign, we would like to take a moment to shine the spotlight on our artists and vendors, who are working diligently on the soundtrack, custom wooden boxes, artwork, and t-shirts. For our first update in this series, we are going to take a closer look at the wooden boxes (crafted by Erica Zalatan) and the soundtrack (composed by Max Webster of Ilium). First, lets see how the boxes are coming along:

As you can see, the final design for the boxes are coming along nicely and are quite stunning! Once all boxes have been burned and designed, they will await custom staining and fabric inlaying, chosen by the recipients of the First Oracle's Prophecy tier.

Some of you may have noticed that Max Webster composed a few songs for our Alkemia album (Songs of Synthesis), and we are delighted that he is back for a full album devoted to Steepseers. While we are still working on putting the finishing touches on the album, we would like to share with you a sample of another song featured on the album that is devoted to our feline Spirit of Tea Leaves:

If you would like to check out Ilium’s other work, you can find it on Facebook, Youtube, Soundcloud.  Until next time, happy brewing!

A big thank you to all of our day 1 backers who helped us reach over 25% of our goal!  You are all amazing, and we are excited to keep moving forward as we move towards the finish line.  We still have a lot of things to bring to the table over the next 31 days such as new previews, stretch goals, interviews, convention updates, and more!  But first, here is one of the first pieces of art we received from our amazingly talented artist:
